The grunge trend can be quite tricky to pull off if you haven’t done the research into the outfits and we often find ourselves thinking that we look pretty damn good but in reality … we don’t.
One of the main garments that we have trouble putting together with an outfit are fishnets. Fishnet tights or socks you name it, we suck at fitting them in with an outfit.
So, who else better to ask for style advise than the North-East’s very own, Rio Beadie.
Rio has worked as a stylist for La Di Da magazine for numerous years and is quite well known for her quirky styles. She has been on Tyne & Wear talking about trends so she is perfect for the job!
“I would keep grunge low-key. I would pair of fishnet socks with Doc Marten sandals for a grunge summer inspired vibe, paired with your favourite black denim jeans or skirt.”
“Taking grunge to work is tricky but not impossible, you want your personality to show but still be professional, how is that done? Fishnet tights although may not be seen as work attire, they can be worn in a number of ways, paired with cigarette slim-leg trousers they can be seen just enough to show your grunge side.”
“Defintely let all your grunge side out for a night-out, fishnet tights with a leather zip skirt ot go all out and wear them with a leather mini dress to show off. Depending on your personality you can wear them with your favouritr Doc’s or high heels, whatever you do keep it grunge.”
