Tattoos. Once you have one your more or less stuck with it for life (unless you pay a fortune for laser removal) One day you’re a young teenager dying for a tattoo – the next you’re in your forties regreting that tattoo.
Temporary tattoos are good for a festival if you only want it to last a few days but what if you’re going on a 2-3 week holiday?
Well don’t you worry SAINT readers, SAINT has found the solution, or rather INKBOX has found the solution.
inkbox, a Canadian business, is the first company to create a tempory tattoo that lasts for 2-3 weeks! OMG!
So how does it work?
“inkbox tattoos work by sinking our patented formula into the top layer of your skin, which then reacts with organic compounds to change your skin’s colour dark blue/black. Our ink is safe for your skin, pain free and made from all natural ingredients.”
Brothers, Tyler and Braden from Canada founded the business and we were lucky enough to get an exclusive interview with Tyler who tells us all about this amazing business.
“A few years ago my brother and I were thinking of getting tattoos, but they were the type of designs we knew we’d regret in 10-15 years (they were super on trend). So instead we started playing around with temporary tattoos, only to realize that they just don’t cut it for an adult.
They don’t look real, only last a few days, and flake away in a nasty way. We started looking for another option – one that would give us the look and feel of a real tattoo without the commitment. We couldn’t find anything, so we decided to create it ourselves.”
Their team of 21 staff (inluding two doggies, awww) all help in the design, inspiration and back of house process.
“The deeper inspiration really comes from the basic human desire to express ourselves.”
The Toronto based company, who have an estonsihing 250,000 followers on Instagram use 100% organic formulas to create the product.
“MAKE TEMPORARY BAD DECISIONS”
“Skin is really the last and ultimate canvas for self expression, but there exists a fundamental disconnect between what people desire out of a tattoo and what the market currently offers. inkbox resolves those disconnects by providing a tattoo without pain, permanence and skin irritation. It’s also safe for practicing Jewish customers, Muslim customers, and people with skin conditions who can’t get real tattoos.”
inkbox do deliver to the UK for $9 via the online website but soon hope to have a warehouse based here to offer faster shipping to their customers.
